About SCARF
SCARF was set up with the vision of providing an exciting and innovative arts facility for Wolverhampton and it's surrounding areas. We are committed to promoting both creativity and environmental awareness whilst maximising the budgets of schools and community groups through the re-use of business waste materials.
SCARF, (The Schools and Community Arts Resource Facility) was offficially opened by the Mayor of Wolverhampton on 23rd April 2004.
SCARF is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise Business. All income is used for the maintenance of the facility and other related projects.
SCARF is run by a board comprising of the headteachers of Eastfield Primary and Nursery Schools and local business men and women. All of these people are committed to the principle of re-using waste materials wherever possible and promoting creativity.
SCARF is funded for the initial start up period by Neighbourhood Renewal Funding.
