Coronavirus Update

During the pandemic the premises that we had been using to run SCARF, kindly supported and provided by Wolverhampton College, became inaccessible in accordance with Government Guidelines and its approach to Covid 19.

Whilst this was happening Wolverhampton College underwent a series of changes, which included some external departments being brought onto the main site, where SCARF was positioned.

Wolverhampton College has, again, kindly provided alternate premises for SCARF but it is going to take some time for us to work out the logistics of this new location as well as reconfigure our stock and fittings to make this work.

With SCARF being a Community Interest Company that relies on volunteers and external support we cannot envisage a return to opening the shop until after the summer holidays at this point.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate the support and enquiries and will be back as soon as possible. Please do check the website and facebook because if things move faster then we will update here.

Thanks again.

Donating to SCARF

SCARF can help with the safe disposal of your corporate or manufacturing waste whilst also fulfilling your corporate social responsibility. By donating to SCARF you are taking positive environmental action and helping a wide range of education and community focused organisations, family’s education access materials that would otherwise end up in landfill.

The Environmental Waste Agency have awarded SCARF a licence to carry business waste. Registration number: CBDL32225. We are able to provide waste transferal documents for your records.

We collect a wide range of materials from the usual to the unusual. Offcuts, end of lines, manufacturing by-products and packaging. The materials must be clean and suitable for reuse and we are happy to help and advise regarding this.

We also would like to hear from DIY companies and professional decorators who would like to donate a surplus of paint, wallpaper or other usable DIY equipment.

SCARF is a Not-for-profit organisation. We are always working hard to reduce our costs,to fund other services we provide. Collection of materials is usually possible however if you able to transport or courier your scrap materials to the scrapstore this can make a big difference to our ability and timescales of accepting offered scrap materials.
